Bank Transfers

Bank Transfers lets customers pay by transferring money directly to your bank account, without going through a payment gateway.

It's useful when:

  • You sell high-value products. Gateway fees are usually a percentage of the order, so on large orders a bank transfer avoids a significant surcharge.
  • You don't have a payment gateway. You can take payments without setting one up.

How it works

  1. At checkout, the customer chooses Bank Transfer and is shown your bank details and a unique payment reference.
  2. The customer transfers the money from their bank, quoting the reference.
  3. When the money arrives, you record the payment against the order.
  4. The service is provisioned once the payment is recorded.

Enable Bank Transfer

  1. In your store's Admin Dashboard, go to Config → Payment Gateways.
  2. Scroll down to Bank Transfer and turn on the toggle.
  3. Enter your bank account details. These are shown to customers at checkout.
  4. Click Save.

Offer Bank Transfer on a plan

Bank Transfer is opt-in for each service plan and is off by default. Enabling it under Payment Gateways does not add it to checkout on its own. You also need to turn it on for every plan you want to offer it on.

In the plan's settings, turn on the Bank Transfer option. When it's on, customers can choose Bank Transfer at checkout for that plan.
